    Solemn specimen, contemporary to the original diploma (lost) where the Emperor Otto I, on the occasion of his coronation that took place at St. Peter’s, by means of Pope John XII on 2nd February 962, reconfirmed to the Roman Church the donations made by Pepin and Charlemagne and at the same time regulated the Imperial rights over Rome and the papal elections, according to Lothario’s Constitutio Romana (824).
